This new Kewtech KT72 PAT tester is battery powered, the KT71 model is mains powered. The KT72 electrical appliance safety tester could not be easier to use, it is lightweight for one hand operation and with its built in automatic test sequences the Kewtech KT 72 has really made PAT testing simple. Use the rotary dial to easily select the type of appliance you are testing ie Class 1 (earthed appliances with 3 core cable) or Class 2 (Double Insulated appliances with 2 core cable). Class 1 appliance earth continuity is tested by sending 200mA down the earth protective conductor, electrical insulation on the appliance can be subjected to either 250V or 500V DC insulation resistance test.
